Leader Script (Word-for-Word with Actions)

ACTION: Stand where all students can see you. Hold nothing in your hands.

Leader says: Tonight is going to feel a little different. There are no right answers on the wall. Nothing here is labeled. And I am not going to tell you what anything means upfront.

ACTION: Pause. Let the room settle.

Leader says: This activity is about paying attention. Not just to food, but to yourself.

ACTION: Gesture toward the fruit table.

Leader says: In front of you is fruit. You can taste any of it, as much or as little as you want.

Leader says: You are not choosing fruit because you like it. You are choosing fruit because of what it reminds you of.

ACTION: Slow your voice.

Leader says: As you taste, ask yourself if it feels gentle or strong, easy or challenging, comforting or stretching.

Leader says: Only add fruit to your bowl if it represents something you want more of in your life right now.

ACTION: Step back. Allow silence for tasting and reflection.

Leader says: Take your time. You do not need to rush. You do not need to explain yourself to anyone.

ACTION: After most students finish, move back to the center.

Leader says: Pause where you are. Look at your bowl. Every bowl looks different, and that is intentional.

ACTION: Open Bible.

Leader says: The Bible talks about something called the Fruit of the Spirit.

Leader reads Galatians 5:22 through 23 aloud. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

ACTION: Close Bible.

Leader says: These are not things you force. They are things that grow.

ACTION: Invite discussion with open posture.

Leader asks: Why did you choose the fruit you chose? Which one felt easiest to add? Which one felt harder? What fruit represents something you are still learning?

ACTION: Nod and affirm responses without correcting.

Leader says: You were not picking fruit to be right. You were paying attention to what your life needs right now. What you feed, grows.

ACTION: Invite students to bow heads if comfortable.

Leader prays: God, help us grow the things that look like You. Give us patience where we rush, peace where we worry, and love where we struggle. Amen.
